Relationship questions?

So my parents said I can go on an exchange program and I want to go to Slovakia so that I can see my boyfriend. We have known each other for a year and I really want to meet him in like real life not facetime. Do exchange programs let you meet people that you already know? I don't know if I would be able to meet him even if I went to Slovakia. My parents know of his exsistence but they don't realize that we are dating and that I'm still talking to him. If anyone can help it would be awesome.

As for your question, depending on your host family you may be allowed to meet people you already know, while some families may be more conservative about it. Or are you talking about a college exchange?

Would seeing your boyfriend the only reason for you to be interested in studying in Slovakia? If yes, then you might want to consider an exchange in another country with a possibility to visit Slovakia.
